Having had a tough start in life where I found myself battling addiction for 20 years and spending time on the streets, in prisons and close to death in hospitals I finally managed to win the battle after multiple attempts in rehabs and detox’s. I’m so grateful for those who kept giving me chances and not give up on me until I made it. It is this which gives me the passion to help others going through the same and not give up on them. I have been with Edge since March 2021 having worked for many years in other homeless organisations, and I can honestly say I hope I stay here until I retire. When I look at my life now with my partner and my stepson in our home, with a job I love and friends around me, I just hope I can help inspire and encourage others when they’ve lost hope.
